Newsletter #3 Fall DTS (2018)

We Have Begun!

As you know, I am a missionary member with YWAM Montana and I work with our Discipleship Training School (DTS). We have just begun the 3-month lecture phase, where students learn all about God, missions, and the bible. This is will be followed by going overseas for 3 months to experience missions, work with ministries and to share the Gospel of Christ.
Before every school, our staff team prays about a theme for the school. This year our theme is “Christ Our Rock,” from Matthew 7:24-27.  As we finish-up our first week about "The Nature and Character of God," it is so clear that God is moving and building such incredible foundations in our students’ lives.
Recently I shared with you that one of my coworkers (Bethany) and I are working to start a refugee-focused DTS here in Montana. I am excited to announce we have officially begun!
Through your prayers and the Lord’s leading we received all approval to develop this ministry here in Montana. Next week we will begin classes on what it is to work with and minister to refugees, as well as training about different religious cultures and how to bring the Gospel to them.
Our hope is to equip our students with the tools and knowledge to go and work with refugees around the world! During outreach, we will be partnering with YWAM bases  in both Greece and the Ukraine who currently have a ministry to refugees from Syria.

Check out this short video of our first day of class!

Please Pray

Thank you so much for your prayers that have propelled us as we’ve stepped out in faith, following God’s voice for this ministry.  Please continue to pray for us that all the staff and students would get much needed rest. We are all very tired from a very full week and we want to walk into the next week(s) full of energy and expectance for God to move. Also please pray that God would continue to guide and lead Bethany and I as we continue to develop the refugee ministry. We want everything we do to be from Him; that this ministry would align with His heart. Our plea is that people would gain a heart to work long term with refugees and that refugees would come to know the love of Christ as their own.

Your prayers are coveted. Be blessed!
