Newsletter #8 Ministry Update & Student Testimonies (2020)

Whats New! Hello! I pray that you are doing well during all of the social distancing and stay-at-home orders – and all the unexpected financial, social, and emotional repercussions that come from it.  to As many of you probably have assumed, we ended up sending our students home from the Winter Discipleship Training School (DTS) 2020. All of our students were able to finish the lecture phase of their school but not their outreach. This of course is a huge bummer but we are trusting God for what he is doing in these students lives. We have Invited them all to complete their outreach with our Fall DTS and have made an exception for these students so that they are able to apply to do a secondary school within YWAM even if they have not completed the outreach portion of their DTS. Before their school even began I felt from the Lord that these students have a strong call to missions on their lives and I believe that the Lord will continue to call them and provide opportunity for them. My prayer is that the students from this school will continue to be obedient to the call the Lord has placed on their lives. This school will remain so near to my heart. It was an honor and privilege to walk alongside our students as they grew closer to the Lord and said yes to the call He placed on their lives. I look forward to what the Lord continues to do in them as they are considering their futures!   Exciting News! Im sure many of you are wondering "What is Katie doing now that all of her students are gone?" This is where the surprise comes in (for me too)! I will be taking on the role of "School Leader" for this Fall's DTS! So what am I doing now? I am in full on planning mode. My days are spent reviewing applications, doing video conference calls and lots of emailing people as I am preparing for the school this upcoming September! This is an especially exciting opportunity because along with our students who will be attending our Fall DTS, We will also have students from the Winder DTS joining us for the outreach portion of the school!  I am thankful for the ability to connect to others beyond these four walls with emails – like this one to you! Please Pray Thank you so much,  Please pray that the students who had to go home due to COVID-19 will continue to walk in what God has for them and they make decisions for their futures. Pray for YWAM Montana as a whole while we work through how to stay missional with the guidelines from the government. And please keep me in your prayers as I am in the middle of planning for our next Discipleship Training School!
